mouse is ill Help!!!!!
i’ve just noticed my male mouse has a wet behind and it looks all sore and swollen under his tail area do i need to take him to the vet??? he is 1 and a half years old. could it be wet tail?? i’ve also noticed some runny poop

@islao1234 Yes, take him to the vet immediately, he is definitely urgently sick. Please let us know how he is.
Treatment. There are drugs to treat wet-tail which can be bought from pet shops. A vet may choose to give the animal other drugs. The sick animal should be kept in a cage by itself so that others do not catch the disease.

@Dee67 thank you for your reply, we took him to the vet and we got some antibiotics, he had his first dose in the evening and seemed fine but i found he had passed in his nest the next morning
miss the poor thing so much

@islao1234 Oh dear, I'm so sorry, unfortunately wet tail is not a good prognosis even with antibiotics etc. You did your very best.
