Mouse bites
Hi there!
Since yesterday one of my mice has started biting me, it has not shed blood, but it is very persistent and it is getting stronger and stronger. I have had her for many months and she is an adult, so it is not a nibbling phase, she learned not to do it a long time ago. Every time she does it I wiggle my fingers and make a high pitched sound but she doesn't seem to mind. If it were a one time thing I wouldn't find it strange but she is insistent, she seems to be looking for it.
Days before we visited the vet and dewormed all the mice, as she had bald patches on the back of her neck and on her face. I don't know if this event may have influenced her, although it seems strange to me because it is not the first time we have taken her.
At first I thought she would be hungry but she continued to do so after she had eaten. I also made sure my hands didn't have a peculiar smell, could this be a way of manifesting discomfort? I don't know if biting is a sign of pain, stress or other emotion.

Re: Mouse bites
Sometimes mice learn to bite if they want something and biting works for them. If she wants you to leave her alone, go home, get you out of her home, etc. You can try gently blowing at her when she nibbles. Mice don’t like the feeling and learn to associate biting with the puff of air… but sometimes they’re bratty and will just bite harder!
