Can I move mouse and pups to new cage?
I have 2 new mother mice with pups (unsure of how many yet as they are only 48 hours old) but they gave birth in a temporary cage before I could swap them over to the larger and more suitable one. The temporary cage's lid is not very secure as it was a quick DIY job and I worry they might find a way to escape (although the distance from highest point is about 20cm). Is there any point during the pups development I can switch over everything? I can try to cut the box they are currently in and fit it into the new cage if that helps, but it might make a lot of noise with cutting?
