I put bits of cuttlebone in my aquariums to provide calcium for the snails, and was wondering if mice would like to chew on them? I can't imagine they have much flavor, but maybe they could serve the same purpose of a block of wood, but a bit softer. I cant think of a reason that they wouldn't be safe, but because these are my first few mice and I've never heard of it being used for mice, so I would like a second opinion.
One male mouse; yet to be officially named! (Thinking Willy)

I can't remember why, but I remember being told that cuttlebone wasn't safe for mice. But I can't remember who said it or why, so I'm not certain about that

I think the concern is them eating too much of it? Same as those mineral chews you can buy at pet stores. I've always read that mice being fed a proper diet shouldn't need any supplements.
