Mabel's Face Looks... Strange

Ah yes, more health problems, because I definitely need more of those. But hopefully this one is just in my head.
I noticed today, just now in fact, that Mabel looks strange. Her face seems to have changed shape, if that's possible. She's always had a moderately lean face, not pudgy like Egg's or narrow like Rosie's, but a nice balance in the middle. But today, Mabel's face looks completely rotund! She looks like she's carrying a marble in her mouth. I'm not certain if this is just in my head or not, but I thought I would ask. Here are some pictures. Can anyone give an opinion on this?

Any ideas on what it could be? Some sort of swelling or mass in her teeth, maybe? Is it possible to get X-rays from a mouse?

I have no idea. I wondered if it maybe was teeth related or an abcess? I think unless sedated, xrays would be difficult if not impossible? But hopefully someone who knows more will chime in. I'm sorry I'm not any help.

Looks swollen to me, too. I would think dental abscess or tumor. It's possible to get xrays of critters, but they usually put them under light anesthesia for it. Poor Mabel... I have to say, though, she looks pretty cute with that cubby cheek.

I hope it's just an abscess and antibiotics will work. Mabel is still so spry and healthy! I really want her to make it to her second year. Plus, Eggi will be crushed. 
Their vet is due to call me tomorrow; I'll discuss it with her then and see if an appointment might do her some good.

Well we had our vet appointment. The vet said a catscan would be needed to determine if it's a dental issue or what, and since that's pretty much out of the picture, we got some meds. We got antibiotics for the swelling, and since her eyes are pretty messed up right now- whitening cornea in one and lipid deposits in the other- she got some antibiotics. It's gonna be a rough week for Mabel. She has a recheck next Sunday. Hopefully she'll be better by then.
