OCD Entertainment Question Empty OCD Entertainment Question

Post by DVirginiana Wed 07 Sep 2016, 12:50 am

So I picked up these little ears of corn for small animals today at work... I know corn isn't really good for mice, but Agent Bauer really loved playing with it for a bit tonight. Do you guys think it would be okay to let him chew those when he's out for playtime? He really seems to like them, so I'm wondering if the benefit to his OCD grooming of playing with new stuff would outweigh the unhealthiness of the corn. I don't think I'd leave it in his tank, just let him chew it during playtime.

I wouldn't think there'd be a problem with that Smile

Imo, corn isn't something that needs to be completely avoided. Just shouldn't be the main part of their diet. So that treat is perfectly fine. Smile

Great! Juat wanted to be sure. It has a microwaveable option where you can pop one of the ears and then give it to them so I might try that and watch him really lose his little mind lol

I have those. they pop really weird... most of the popped corn stays attached to the cobb, so they do lose their little minds trying to tear it off! only about half pops, so they just go to town on the whole thing. I tossed one in with the girls one night, they messed it up pretty good. Happy fun time!

How weird. It just turns into soft corn like corn on the cob? Scratch That sounds like a fun treat!

no, silly. it turns into popcorn. but it most of it stays attached to the cobb. i would have expected it to fly all over the place.

it's sort of fun. the little popcorns are teesy and cute...but i'm sure it is absolute crap quality. i would much rather just throw some people kernals in a pan and make them some fresh people popcorn.
