Could he look any cuter?! That fabric cube was always a huge hit with my colonies -- that and the Petco Hamster House

Can you use those? I've always avoided them (despite my temptation) because I thought they were all made of cotton materials.

Oh, the one I got said it was made from nylon. Definitely not something nails could get caught in.

I can't speak for this exact one but I'm cautious about ordering these types of hammocks/houses now. I ordered a strawberry one some time ago that claimed it was made with fleece --- it was in part. Â Inside was a different material that was not fleece and the strings definitely appeared to be cotton. They also used a batting between the outside fleece and whatever the inside material was. Â And my girls at the time definitely chewed it, so in the trash it went. Â After that I decided it was just better to make my own hammocks. Might not be as cute but at least I'm sure of the materials. You definitely want to avoid cotton as it can cause serious problems if ingested and can become tangled tightly around limbs. Fleece and felt are considered safe. I'm not sure if there are any other safe fabrics.
