You can see nipples clearly around day 8-9... if you want to check sooner, I had a lot of luck sexing correctly by comparing the anogenital distances. Just put them on your fingers and then lift their little tails. Once you find one boy and one girl, it's easy to tell the rest. Smile http://petmousefanciers.forumotion.com/t11-sexing-mice

UPDATE:

Riley's babies have fur! It's still a small amount, but it is definitely there and it is so soft and fuzzy Very Happy I loved holding them before, but now that they are so soft... Love They are all doing great and there are still ten healthy and thriving babies. Unfortunately, I was unable to get a photograph of them today Sad but I will tomorrow!

I held Jess' babies for the second time today and they are all doing awesome. Lots of good milk bands. I think Jess' litter will have a lot more spotted white babies because I can see a lot of faint white markings on the babies. There are nine total babies in her litter.

Jess' babies

I don't know how I missed this earlier!

Thank you! I may try my hand at sexing Riley's litter today. I've never sexed babies before, so it will be good practice.

UPDATE:

Jess' Litter
Still super squirmy and hard to hold xD
They're doing really well! I can see colors a bit more clearly today. Her litter definitely has lots of yellows in it. I think I might see a brindle or two. They also have lots of white spotting!

Riley's Litter
Holy cow, they get fur so fast! They have changed so much since yesterday. I can really tell their colors now! Lots of yellows. Some solid yellows, some spotted yellows, and some brindle yellows. Then, of course, there are my two dark babies. I still am not sure what color they are. They don't look entirely black, so I guess we will wait and see!
They also seem to be a lot calmer with me holding them. They don't squirm as much as they have in the past. All seem healthy and on pace with size Very Happy

The darker babies and the brindle.
Any guesses on the colors of the darker babies?

Cute! I love the spotted babies. Heart Eyes

The darker ones could just be sootier yellows or brindles.

Same! I secretly wish to get one. Well, I say that now, maybe they are a little harder to deal with than I think!

It's definitely an experience that I wouldn't change for the world. However, I know that I was lucky this time around. I haven't had any babies lost and both moms are doing awesome. I wouldn't trade it for anything, but I know I would never be up to breeding on purpose!

And thank you all for the comments! I am so obsessed with their colors as well! They are so cute Very Happy

UPDATE:

Jess' Litter
So she moved them again today. Now she has them under her wheel which kind of worries me...I don't understand her. They're all doing great and are all accounted for, though! Colors are coming in strong. All spotted yellows excepted for one spotted brindle. I think I have two colored rump babies also.

Riley's Litter
These babies are growing like weeds! It is so crazy! I have two BEAUTIFUL solid yellows, the two mystery babies, a brindle, and yellow spotted babies. They are just so cute at this stage! I wish they would stay this way. So soft and fluffy!
I was able to get a photo of the mystery babies next to a yellow baby for comparison Smile

I know, right!?! They just melt my heart every time I see them! I'm lucky that I had the opportunity to get them now before I go off to college next year Smile
